Microcement
What is it?
Microcement is a decorative cement-based coating, using polymers and pigments to achieve the look of natural stone or polished concrete. It is hand applied (around 2-3mm thick) on walls, floors, ceilings, bathrooms/wetrooms and furniture (kitchen worktops, tables, shelving units etc).
Advantages
Microcement is a seamless finish (no more grout lines!) and therefore is very easy to clean.
It looks stunning!
Microcement has excellent bonding qualities and can, therefore, be applied on most existing substrates, including timber, tiles and plaster.
Once sealed, it is waterproof and extremely hard wearing.
Microcement is applied by hand which means each piece is completely unique to itself.
It can be used both internally and externally.
With over 20 different pigmented colours to choose from there will always be the right colour for your project.
As microcement is applied so thin, (2-3mm) it does not impact the structural load of the building.
Due to how thinly it is applied, it is a lot more cost effective and environmentally friendly than using ordinary polished concrete.
Works incredibly well when used a floor with under floor heating.
